Huawei has officially introduced the Huawei nova 15 Max at a launch event in Thailand. The smartphone arrives with a huge 8,500mAh battery, making it one of the biggest battery phones released by the brand so far.
The newly launched device closely resembles the Huawei Enjoy 90 Pro Max, which debuted in China earlier this year. Reports suggest the nova 15 Max is essentially a rebranded version of that model for global markets.
Large OLED Display With Smooth Refresh Rate
The Huawei nova 15 Max features a 6.84-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution. In addition, the panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and gaming performance.
Huawei has not officially confirmed the processor inside the phone. However, it is expected to use the Kirin 8000 chipset, similar to the Enjoy 90 Pro Max.
Dual Cameras and Circular Camera Design
On the back, the phone includes a dual-camera setup led by a 50MP RYYB primary sensor. It is paired with a 2MP secondary camera for additional photography functions.
The rear cameras are placed inside a large circular camera module. Meanwhile, the front side houses an 8MP selfie camera for video calls and self-portraits.
8,500mAh Battery Supports 40W Fast Charging
The biggest highlight of the Huawei nova 15 Max is its giant 8,500mAh battery. Huawei says the device also supports 40W fast charging, allowing users to recharge the large battery more efficiently.
The smartphone also includes several connectivity features such as Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, 4G support, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port.
Extra Features and Color Options
Huawei has equipped the phone with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and an infrared sensor. The device also comes with a dedicated X button that can be customized for quick actions and shortcuts.
Additionally, the nova 15 Max carries SGS five-star durability certification for improved reliability and protection.
The smartphone will be available in Blush Gold, Golden Black, and Lake Cyan color options. Huawei plans to release the device in selected European and global markets, where the starting price has been set at €449.
