Xiaomi 17 Max Confirmed With Massive 8000mAh Battery and Leica 200MP Camera

Xiaomi has officially revealed more details about the upcoming Xiaomi 17 Max ahead of its expected debut later this month.

The company is positioning the new model as a premium large-screen flagship with a strong focus on battery endurance, camera quality, and high-end performance. Recent teasers also indicate that Xiaomi plans to compete more aggressively in the ultra-premium smartphone segment with the 17 Max.

Huge 8000mAh Battery Takes Center Stage

One of the biggest highlights of the Xiaomi 17 Max is its enormous 8000mAh battery. Xiaomi claims this is the largest battery ever featured in one of its smartphones.

Despite the larger capacity, the company says the phone will maintain a relatively slim profile thanks to advanced silicon-carbon battery technology.

The smartphone is also expected to support 100W wired fast charging along with 50W wireless charging, allowing users to recharge the massive battery much faster than typical flagship devices.

6.9-Inch Super Pixel Display Confirmed

Xiaomi has also confirmed that the device will feature a large 6.9-inch “Super Pixel” display.

According to the company, the panel uses a new RGB sub-pixel arrangement that delivers image sharpness close to 2K resolution while consuming less power than standard 1.5K OLED screens.

The display is also said to include a new red luminous material aimed at improving brightness efficiency and delivering more consistent colors across the panel.

Leica-Backed 200MP Camera System

Photography will be another major selling point for the Xiaomi 17 Max.

The phone will feature Xiaomi’s first Leica-supported 200MP primary camera. The setup is also expected to include a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and a 50MP ultrawide sensor.

The high-resolution main sensor could offer improved zoom quality and sharper details while minimizing the need for aggressive digital cropping.
