Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has officially started teasing the design of its upcoming Vivo S60 lineup ahead of its expected debut in China. The company has revealed early details about the phones’ appearance, while fresh leaks continue to hint at the hardware specifications of both the Vivo S60 and the Vivo S60 Pro Mini.
Summer-Inspired Design Confirmed
Han Boxiao, Product Manager at Vivo Communication Technology, recently shared new information about the upcoming series. According to him, the Vivo S60 lineup adopts a summer-inspired design language with a reflective silver-white finish.
The rear panel is said to mimic sunlight shining across ocean waves. Vivo claims the texture creates changing light reflections when the device is moved, producing a shimmering visual effect.
The company also confirmed the use of a large integrated cold-carved glass back panel. This design choice is expected to improve the in-hand feel while giving the phones a more premium appearance.
Teaser images suggest that the standard Vivo S60 could retain a top-left camera layout similar to the previous generation. Meanwhile, the rumored Vivo S60 Pro Mini may continue using the horizontal camera module design introduced with last year’s S50 Pro Mini.
Expected Vivo S60 Specifications
Recent leaks from well-known tipster Digital Chat Station indicate that the standard Vivo S60 may feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K display with slim bezels and rounded corners.
The phone is also rumored to pack a battery capacity starting above 7,000mAh. In addition, support for 90W fast charging is expected.
Camera details remain unofficial, but reports suggest the device could include a Sony IMX8-series periscope telephoto sensor for improved zoom photography.
Other leaked features include:
- Ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner
- IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance
- Metal middle frame
- Magnetic accessory support through compatible cases
Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Could Power the Device
The same leak also claims the Vivo S60 may run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, positioning the device in the upper mid-range segment.
At the moment, Vivo has not confirmed any hardware specifications for the Vivo S60 Pro Mini. However, separate reports suggest both phones may support a telephoto extender accessory aimed at improving long-range photography capabilities.
More official details about the Vivo S60 series are expected to surface in the coming weeks as Vivo continues its teaser campaign.
