Realme is preparing to expand its Realme 16 smartphone lineup with the launch of the new Realme 16T. The company has officially confirmed that the device will debut on May 22, joining the existing Realme 16 series that already includes the Realme 16, Realme 16 Pro, and Realme 16 Pro+.
Realme 16T Focuses on Battery Life and Travel Use
According to Realme, the upcoming 16T is designed for users who need long-lasting performance during everyday tasks and travel situations. The company is marketing the phone as an “8000mAh 3-Day Powerhouse,” highlighting its massive battery capacity as the key selling point.
Despite packing a huge 8,000mAh battery, the handset will feature a relatively slim 8.8mm body. Realme has also confirmed support for 45W wired fast charging, helping users recharge the large battery more quickly.
The smartphone will additionally support all-scenario bypass charging technology, which is expected to reduce heat generation during gaming and extended use by powering the device directly instead of continuously charging the battery.
Large Display and Gaming Features
The Realme 16T will come with a 6.8-inch display, although the company has not yet disclosed details about the panel’s resolution or refresh rate.
Realme claims the device can deliver up to 11 hours of continuous BGMI gameplay while maintaining stable 60FPS performance. This suggests the brand is positioning the phone toward gamers and heavy multimedia users looking for extended battery endurance.
Color Options Revealed
The upcoming smartphone will launch in three color variants:
- Aurora Green
- Starlight Red
- Starlight Black
Official renders also reveal a modern flat-edge design with a large rear camera module, giving the phone a premium appearance despite its battery-focused positioning.
Expected Processor
Realme has yet to officially confirm the chipset powering the 16T. However, recent Geekbench listings suggest the smartphone could arrive with the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor.
If the benchmark information proves accurate, the chipset should provide balanced mid-range performance with support for 5G connectivity and efficient power management.
More official specifications and pricing details are expected to be announced closer to the May 22 launch event.
