HUAWEI has quietly expanded its smartphone lineup by introducing the nova Y74 to international markets. The new device is essentially a global version of the Enjoy 90 Plus, which was previously available only in China. With a large battery, durable build, and practical features, the nova Y74 is aimed at users looking for long-lasting performance at an affordable price.
Large Battery Takes Center Stage
One of the biggest highlights of the HUAWEI nova Y74 is its massive 6,620mAh battery, designed to provide extended usage on a single charge. The smartphone also supports 40W wired fast charging, helping users quickly top up the battery when needed.
The company has focused on durability as well. The nova Y74 comes with an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes. In addition, HUAWEI claims the device can withstand drops from heights of up to 1.8 meters, making it a reliable option for everyday use.
Display and Performance
The nova Y74 features a 6.67-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. The screen can reach up to 850 nits of peak brightness, improving visibility in outdoor environments. A punch-hole cutout houses an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
While HUAWEI has not officially confirmed the chipset, industry reports suggest the smartphone may be powered by the Kirin 8000 processor. The device is paired with 8GB of RAM and offers up to 256GB of internal storage for apps, photos, and media.

For photography, the nova Y74 is equipped with a 50-megapixel main rear camera. The smartphone also includes an X Button on the left side, allowing users to instantly launch their favorite apps or frequently used functions.
