HONOR has officially introduced its new budget smartphone, the HONOR X7e, expanding its entry-level X series lineup with a focus on battery life, design, and everyday performance. The device stands out with a design inspired by modern flagship aesthetics and a huge battery aimed at heavy users.
iPhone-Style Design with a Fresh Look
The HONOR X7e debuts with a redesigned rear camera layout that closely resembles recent iPhone-style design trends. Unlike its predecessor, the X7d, the new model features a more refined and premium-looking camera module housing a 50MP main sensor along with an additional auxiliary lens for basic depth or support functions.
This design shift positions the X7e as one of the more visually striking budget phones in HONOR’s lineup.
Massive 7500mAh Battery Takes the Spotlight
The biggest highlight of the X7e is its enormous 7500mAh battery, which is a significant upgrade over the previous generation. Despite the larger capacity, HONOR has managed to keep the phone’s thickness increase minimal at just 0.1mm.
To complement the large battery, the device supports 45W fast wired charging, allowing users to recharge more quickly than typical budget smartphones.
Display and Performance Improvements
The smartphone features a 6.6-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. While the screen size is slightly smaller than before, brightness has been improved, reaching up to 1010 nits for better outdoor visibility.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 processor, paired with a rare 6GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration—an unusual combination in this price segment.
Software, Features, and Durability
The HONOR X7e runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16 out of the box, offering the latest software experience in the budget category.
Additional features include:
- IP64 dust and splash resistance
- Side-mounted fingerprint scanner
- Dedicated one-tap AI key
- Stereo speakers
- 3.5mm headphone jack
These additions make the device more practical for everyday use.
Camera Setup
On the camera front, the phone includes a 50MP primary sensor supported by an auxiliary lens. On the front, it carries a 5MP selfie camera, targeting basic photography and video calling needs rather than advanced imaging.
Price and Availability
The HONOR X7e is priced at around MYR 899 (approximately PKR/Php 14,000 in conversion terms for the entry model). It is expected to launch soon in the Philippines and may expand to other Asian markets later.
