Xiaomi has officially introduced the Poco C81 Pro to global markets, following weeks of leaks and speculation. The smartphone closely mirrors the Redmi A7 Pro, offering nearly identical design and specifications under a new Poco branding.

Rebranded Design and Software
The Poco C81 Pro appears to be a direct rebrand of the Redmi A7 Pro, which debuted earlier this year. The device runs on Android 16 out of the box, paired with Xiaomi’s custom HyperOS 3 interface. This ensures updated software features, although performance may vary due to entry-level hardware.
Entry-Level Performance Setup
Powering the device is the Unisoc T7250 chipset, clocked at 1.8GHz. It is paired with 4GB RAM across all variants. While suitable for daily tasks, the phone may show occasional lag due to the heavier HyperOS skin. Overall, it targets users looking for basic functionality rather than high performance.
Large 120Hz Display
One of the key highlights is its large 6.9-inch IPS LCD display. It supports a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, delivering fluid scrolling and animations. However, the screen resolution remains at HD+, which may not appeal to users seeking sharper visuals. The panel also offers up to 800 nits of brightness.
Basic Camera System
The Poco C81 Pro features a single 13MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture. It lacks advanced features like OIS or PDAF, making it a simple setup for casual photography. Video recording is limited to 1080p at 30fps. On the front, an 8MP camera handles selfies and video calls.
Big Battery, Slow Charging
A major strength of the device is its 6,000mAh battery, designed to easily last a full day of usage. However, charging speeds are modest, capped at 15W. This means users may need more time to fully recharge the device.
Additional Features and Pricing
The phone includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for quick unlocking and a single speaker system with a boosted volume mode.
The Poco C81 Pro is available in three storage variants, all with 4GB RAM:
- 64GB – $99 (~PKR 27,000)
- 128GB – $109 (~PKR 30,000)
- 256GB – $129 (~PKR 36,000)
With its affordable pricing and large battery, the Poco C81 Pro positions itself as a budget-friendly option for everyday users, despite modest performance capabilities.
