Xiaomi 17T Makes Global Debut
Xiaomi has officially unveiled the new Xiaomi 17T smartphone for global markets. The device was announced and released on May 28, 2026, bringing premium hardware, flagship-level cameras, and a large battery package.
The smartphone aims to deliver high-end performance while maintaining a competitive price tag in the flagship killer segment.
Premium Design With IP68 Protection
The Xiaomi 17T features a slim body measuring 157.6 x 75.2 x 8.2mm and weighs 200 grams. It comes with a glass front protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and a durable plastic frame.
Xiaomi has also added IP68 dust and water resistance for improved durability. The device is available in Violet, Blue, Opal White, and Black colors.
AMOLED Display With 3500 Nits Brightness
The smartphone sports a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and 3840Hz PWM dimming for smoother visuals and better eye comfort.
The display reaches up to 3,500 nits peak brightness and offers a sharp 1268 x 2756 resolution with nearly 460ppi pixel density.
Dimensity 8500 Ultra Powers the Device
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 17T is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset built on a 4nm process. The processor is paired with the Mali-G720 MC8 GPU for gaming and multitasking performance.
The phone runs Android 16 out of the box with Xiaomi’s latest HyperOS 3 software experience.
Up to 512GB UFS 4.1 Storage
Xiaomi offers the 17T in two storage variants including 256GB and 512GB options. Both models come with 12GB RAM for smoother performance.
The device uses fast UFS 4.1 storage technology, although it does not support expandable storage through a microSD card.
Leica Cameras Bring Advanced Photography Features
The Xiaomi 17T features a triple rear camera setup led by a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization. It also includes a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and a 12MP ultra-wide camera.
Leica tuning, Ultra HDR support, and advanced video recording capabilities make the camera system one of the phone’s biggest highlights.
32MP Selfie Camera With 4K Video
On the front, Xiaomi has added a 32MP selfie camera for high-quality photos and video calls. The front camera also supports 4K video recording with HDR10+ support.
The phone includes stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio certification for an immersive multimedia experience.
Large 6500mAh Battery With Fast Charging
The Xiaomi 17T packs a massive 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery. The smartphone supports 67W wired charging and 50W PPS charging technology.
It also supports 22.5W reverse wired charging, allowing users to charge other devices when needed.
Benchmark Scores and Pricing
According to Xiaomi’s testing, the Xiaomi 17T scored over 2.1 million points on AnTuTu v11 and achieved 6607 points on GeekBench v6.
The smartphone is priced at €749.90 in Europe and £649 in the UK, placing it in the premium flagship smartphone category.
