
Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the new Xiaomi 17 Max will make its debut in China on May 21. The smartphone will launch during a major company event that will also introduce the new Xiaomi YU7 GT electric SUV, fresh wearable products, and additional smart home devices.
Ahead of the event, Xiaomi has started revealing key details about the upcoming phone. The company confirmed that the Xiaomi 17 Max will feature a large 6.9-inch flat AMOLED display with slim bezels. The device will reportedly be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, targeting flagship-level performance.
Xiaomi 17 Max to Feature 8,000mAh Battery
Xiaomi also confirmed that the smartphone will pack a massive 8,000mAh battery, making it one of the biggest battery capacities seen in a premium flagship phone. The handset will additionally include a 200MP primary rear camera designed for high-resolution photography.
According to the company, the Xiaomi 17 Max will arrive in three color variants:
- White
- Clear Blue
- Pixel Black
Smart Band 10 Pro Gets Upgraded Features
During the same launch event, Xiaomi will also unveil the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro. The wearable is expected to bring upgraded health and fitness tracking sensors along with improved sleep monitoring features.
The band will also support NFC-based tap-to-pay functionality and offer easier connectivity with Xiaomi Auto. Xiaomi says the device will also provide better compatibility with Apple ecosystem products.
Xiaomi’s First Clip-On Earbuds Confirmed
Another highlight of the event will be Xiaomi’s first clip-on wireless earbuds. The upcoming earbuds will use an open-ear design and feature 11mm audio drivers for improved sound output.
Xiaomi has further confirmed support for LHDC 5.0 audio technology along with Hi-Res Gold certification, suggesting a focus on premium wireless audio quality.
The May 21 launch event is shaping up to be one of Xiaomi’s biggest product showcases this year, with smartphones, electric vehicles, wearables, and smart accessories all expected to take center stage.
