
Chinese smartphone maker Vivo is reportedly preparing to launch the new Vivo S60 in China on May 29. Ahead of the official announcement, the device has surfaced on Geekbench, revealing several important hardware details.
The benchmark listing, carrying the model number V2571A, suggests that the upcoming smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. This is the same processor used in last year’s Vivo S50 lineup.
Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Powers the Device
The leaked benchmark data confirms that the Vivo S60 will feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. The chipset includes a prime core clocked at 3.01GHz, four performance cores running at 2.80GHz, and three efficiency cores operating at 2.02GHz.
Graphics performance will reportedly be handled by the Adreno 735 GPU, which should offer solid gaming and multitasking capabilities.
The listing also reveals that the smartphone will run Android 16 out of the box and may support up to 16GB RAM.
Geekbench Scores Revealed
According to the benchmark results, the Vivo S60 achieved 1,960 points in the single-core test and 5,194 points in the multi-core test.
These scores indicate flagship-level performance and suggest that the device could deliver smooth everyday usage along with improved gaming efficiency.
Vivo S60 Series Launch Expected on May 29
Reports indicate that Vivo may unveil two smartphones during its upcoming China launch event. Alongside the standard Vivo S60, the company is also expected to introduce the Vivo S60 Vitality Edition.
Both devices are rumored to feature similar design language and could arrive in color options such as Starry Sea, Early Summer Green, and Midsummer Night.
Storage Variants and Configurations
Leaks suggest that the standard Vivo S60 may launch with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage.
Meanwhile, the Vivo S60 Vitality Edition could target budget-focused buyers with a lower starting configuration of 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
Display and Battery Details
The Vivo S60 is rumored to feature a 6.59-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution support and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Battery performance may become one of the phone’s biggest highlights. Reports claim the device could include a massive 7,200mAh battery paired with 90W fast charging technology.
The smartphone is also expected to include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner for improved security and faster unlocking.
Camera and Additional Features
On the camera side, the Vivo S60 may feature a 50MP triple rear camera setup. Leaks further hint at a Sony IMX-series periscope telephoto sensor for enhanced zoom photography.
Additional rumored features include stereo speakers, an X-axis linear motor, an IR blaster, and IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance ratings.
Vivo has not officially confirmed the complete specifications yet. However, more details are expected to surface before the official launch event later this month.
