Vivo S50t Debuts as a More Affordable Flagship Alternative with Powerful Specs

Vivo has officially expanded its S50 series by launching the new Vivo S50t, offering a slightly more affordable option without compromising on flagship-level performance. The device follows the earlier release of the Vivo S50 and Vivo S50 Pro mini introduced in December.

Design and Display

The Vivo S50t features a sleek design with a 6.59-inch AMOLED display. It delivers a sharp resolution of 1260 × 2750 pixels. Moreover, the 120Hz refresh rate ensures smooth scrolling and fluid visuals.

An optical fingerprint sensor is placed under the display for quick unlocking. The device comes in four color options: Confession, Serenity Blue, Inspiration Purple, and Space Black.

Performance and Software

Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. While it is not the newest processor, it still delivers strong flagship-grade performance.

The phone offers 12GB or 16GB RAM with 512GB internal storage. However, unlike the standard S50, it uses UFS 3.1 storage instead of UFS 4.1. This change helps reduce the price slightly.

On the software side, the device runs Android 16 with OriginOS 6 on top.

Camera Setup

The Vivo S50t is equipped with a triple-camera system. It includes a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization.

Additionally, there is a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom and OIS. An 8MP ultrawide camera completes the rear setup.

For selfies, the device features a 50MP front camera, designed for high-quality photos and video calls.

Battery and Pricing

The smartphone packs a large 6,500mAh battery. It supports 90W wired fast charging for quick power-ups.

In terms of pricing, the 12GB + 512GB variant is priced at $468. Meanwhile, the 16GB + 512GB version costs $512. Both models are about $14 cheaper than the regular Vivo S50.
