Samsung’s upcoming foldable smartphone, reportedly called the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Wide, has appeared in a new hands-on leak ahead of its expected July launch. The leaked video gives an early look at the phone’s possible design and hardware details.
Hands-On Video Reveals Slim Design
The video, shared by Sonny Dickson, showcases a dummy unit of the foldable device in a white finish. While dummy models may differ slightly from the final product, the phone appears slim and modern in the footage.
The leak also highlights the phone’s dual rear cameras, side-mounted power and volume buttons, and USB Type-C charging port.
Samsung May Change the Device Name
Recent reports suggest Samsung could launch the device under a different name. Earlier leaks referred to it as the Galaxy Z Fold Wide, but new rumors claim it may officially debut as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8.
At the same time, Samsung’s regular foldable successor to the Galaxy Z Fold7 may reportedly arrive as the Z Fold8 Ultra.
Expected Camera and Battery Details
Leaks indicate that the upcoming foldable phone may feature a 50MP main rear camera along with a 50MP ultrawide sensor. The device is also rumored to include a 4,800mAh battery for improved battery life.
Large Inner Display Expected
Samsung is expected to equip the foldable with a 7.6-inch inner display featuring a 4:3 aspect ratio. The wider screen could provide a better experience for multitasking, streaming, and gaming.
The company is likely to unveil its next-generation foldable smartphones during its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event later this year.
