April 2026 — China: OnePlus has officially unveiled the Ace 6 Ultra, a gaming-focused smartphone that stands apart from the standard Ace 6 lineup. The new model arrives with a dedicated gaming controller, advanced cooling support, and a huge battery, clearly targeting mobile gamers.

Gaming-Centric Design and Premium Display
The OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra features a large 6.78-inch BOE OLED display. It delivers a sharp 1,272 × 2,772 resolution and a smooth 165Hz refresh rate. As a result, users get fluid visuals, especially during gaming.
Moreover, the panel supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+, along with full DCI-P3 color coverage. Brightness peaks at an impressive 3,600 nits in certain conditions. The phone also includes stereo speakers, an X-axis vibration motor, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
In terms of durability, it carries IP66, IP68, and IP69K ratings, offering strong protection against water and dust.
MediaTek Power Focused on Gaming Performance
Unlike its siblings, the device runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset. This processor is tuned for high-end gaming performance and efficiency.
According to the company, the phone can achieve up to 165fps in popular titles like League of Legends: Wild Rift and Subway Surfers. The upgraded GPU boosts ray tracing and improves graphics performance significantly.
Additionally, OnePlus claims stable performance for extended gaming sessions, with minimal power consumption. However, the USB-C port is limited to USB 2.0 speeds and does not support video output.
Camera Setup Keeps Things Simple
The camera system on the Ace 6 Ultra remains practical rather than groundbreaking. It includes a 50MP main sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide lens.
On the front, a 16MP camera handles selfies and video calls. The rear camera supports 4K recording at 60fps, while the front camera records at 1080p.
Dedicated Gaming Controller and Cooling Accessory
One of the biggest highlights is the newly introduced gaming controller. Priced at around $65, it adds extra rear buttons with ultra-fast response time.
The controller also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, improved antenna support, and USB-C charging. Notably, it supports a magnetic cooling fan attachment, designed to keep temperatures low during intense gameplay.
Its retractable design may also allow compatibility with other smartphones.
Massive Battery with Ultra-Fast Charging
The OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra packs a huge 8,600mAh dual-cell battery, making it one of the largest in any OnePlus device to date.
It supports 120W fast charging, reaching 53% in just 20 minutes and a full charge in under 50 minutes. Additionally, bypass charging helps reduce heat during gaming sessions while plugged in.
Pricing and Variants
The smartphone starts at $555 in China for the 12GB + 256GB variant. Higher configurations go up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, priced at $790.
