Motorola has officially refreshed its flip-style foldable lineup with the launch of the Motorola Razr 70 Ultra, Motorola Razr 70+, and Motorola Razr 70. While the company recently introduced its first book-style foldable device, the Razr branding continues to focus heavily on compact flip phones.
In the United States, the new devices will launch under slightly different names, including the Razr 2026, Razr+ 2026, and Razr Ultra 2026.
Razr 70 Ultra Gets Performance Boost
The biggest highlight of the new lineup is the Motorola Razr 70 Ultra, which arrives with upgraded hardware and a refined design. Motorola has kept the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, but the new model uses an overclocked version with CPU speeds reaching 4.47GHz.
Although the processor remains powerful, the device could still fall behind some flagship smartphones expected later in 2026.
Brighter Foldable Display
Motorola has retained the same overall dimensions for the Ultra model. The phone features a 7-inch LTPO foldable display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The upgraded panel now delivers peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits.
The external 4-inch cover display also supports a 165Hz refresh rate, offering a smooth experience while using the phone in folded mode.
Bigger Battery and Fast Charging
The new Razr Ultra now packs a larger 5,000mAh battery, which is 300mAh bigger than its predecessor.
Charging speeds remain unchanged with support for 68W wired charging and 30W wireless charging. These speeds are still faster than many competing flip foldables currently available.
Camera Hardware Stays Similar
Motorola has continued with a triple 50MP camera setup, including a main sensor, ultra-wide lens, and selfie camera.
The company has also introduced a LOFIC sensor in the main camera system, which may improve image quality and dynamic range in different lighting conditions.
Price Increase May Concern Buyers
The Motorola Razr Ultra 2026 starts at $1,500 in the US, making it $200 more expensive than the previous model.
In Europe, the foldable carries a premium price tag of £1,200 and €1,400. While Motorola offers several upgrades this year, the higher pricing could influence buyers looking for better value in the foldable market.
