Motorola Moto G47 Goes Official with 108MP Camera and 120Hz Display

Motorola has officially unveiled the Moto G47, expanding its latest smartphone lineup. The device arrives alongside other models, including the Moto G37 series, Moto G87, and the Razr 70 foldables. It brings notable upgrades such as a high-resolution camera, smooth display, and the latest Android software.

Design and Display

The Moto G47 features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smoother scrolling and fluid animations. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, adding durability against scratches and minor drops.

In terms of design, the phone comes in three Pantone-inspired colors: Impenetrable, Nautical Blue, and Fuchsia Red. A punch-hole cutout on the front houses the selfie camera, giving the device a modern look.

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. This setup is designed to handle everyday tasks, multitasking, and moderate gaming efficiently.

The Moto G47 offers up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card. On the software front, it runs Android 16 with Motorola’s Hello UX. However, the company has not yet confirmed its update policy.

Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, eSIM support, IP64 splash resistance, and MIL-STD-810H durability certification.

Camera Setup

The Moto G47 is equipped with a 108MP primary camera, which supports 3x lossless zoom for clearer zoomed-in shots. It is accompanied by a 2MP macro camera for close-up photography.

Additionally, the phone includes a 2-in-1 light sensor, combining an ambient light sensor and flicker detection. On the front, there is an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls.

Battery and Charging

The smartphone packs a 5,200mAh battery, designed to last through a full day of usage. It supports 20W wired charging and also offers 6W reverse wired charging, allowing users to power other devices when needed.
