Vivo X500 Pro Max Geekbench Listing Reveals Powerful New Chip and 12GB RAM

Vivo X500 Pro Max Geekbench Listing Reveals Powerful New Chip and 12GB RAM

The Vivo X500 Pro Max has surfaced on Geekbench, giving us an early look at its performance and hardware. The listing points to a new MediaTek flagship chipset, 12GB of RAM, and performance numbers that put the phone firmly in premium territory.

The benchmark also reveals an unusual eight-core CPU configuration and Android 17, adding more weight to reports that Vivo is preparing a major X500-series upgrade. While the exact chipset name remains unconfirmed, leaked information points toward the rumored MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro, potentially positioning the X500 Pro Max as one of Vivo’s most powerful upcoming smartphones.

Vivo X500 Pro Max Appears on Geekbench

The Geekbench appearance is particularly interesting because Vivo did not introduce a Pro Max model with the previous X300 series. That made the possibility of an X500 Pro Max difficult to confirm until now.

The benchmark identifies the device with model number V2610, which is believed to correspond to the Vivo X500 Pro Max. If accurate, the listing provides one of the clearest early indications that Vivo is expanding the lineup with a new Pro Max variant.

According to the listing, the phone was tested using Geekbench 6.7.1. It achieved 2,574 points in the single-core test and 7,756 points in the multi-core test.

Those numbers are notable for a device that appears to be running on an unannounced MediaTek platform.

New MediaTek Flagship Chipset Revealed

The most interesting part of the benchmark is the processor. Geekbench identifies the chipset by the serial code MediaTek MT6995, rather than giving it a commercial name.

The CPU information shows an eight-core architecture with an unusually aggressive clock configuration. Two cores can reportedly reach 4.55GHz, while three additional cores operate at up to 4.35GHz.

The remaining three cores are listed with a base clock of 3.1GHz. This configuration suggests that MediaTek is pushing hard on peak CPU performance for its next-generation flagship platform.

Is This the Dimensity 9600 Pro?

The benchmark information lines up with a recent leak attributed to Digital Chat Station on Weibo. The leak reportedly points toward the Dimensity 9600 Pro as the chipset behind MediaTek’s next high-end push.

The reported clock speeds are particularly interesting because they appear to be in the same performance class as Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. However, the commercial name of the MediaTek chip has not been officially confirmed.

Until Vivo or MediaTek makes an announcement, the Dimensity 9600 Pro identification should therefore be treated as a leak rather than confirmed hardware.

Mali G2 Ultra GPU Could Boost Graphics

The rumored chipset may also bring a new graphics architecture. Current leak information suggests the Dimensity 9600 Pro could feature a Mali G2 Ultra NXMC12 iGPU.

If that information proves accurate, the Vivo X500 Pro Max could receive a substantial graphics upgrade alongside its CPU improvements. That would be important for demanding games, high-resolution displays, and AI-powered applications.

The benchmark itself does not provide enough information to determine real-world GPU performance, so gaming results will have to wait for additional testing.

12GB RAM Listed for the Pro Max

The Geekbench unit is equipped with 12GB of RAM, which is a fitting memory configuration for a flagship smartphone.

Vivo could potentially offer additional RAM and storage variants when the device officially launches. For now, however, the 12GB configuration is the only memory capacity revealed by the benchmark listing.

Combined with the rumored flagship MediaTek processor, the hardware suggests that Vivo is targeting users who expect strong multitasking and long-term performance from a premium device.

Android 17 Is Another Major Clue

The software information is just as interesting as the hardware. The Vivo X500 Pro Max benchmark unit is listed as running Android 17.

That suggests Vivo may already be preparing its next-generation software experience for the X500 family. The company could pair the new Android version with a future OriginOS 7 interface, although this has not been officially confirmed.

Running Android 17 at this early stage also indicates that the phone’s software development is already well underway.

Where the X500 Pro Max Could Fit

The leaked lineup reportedly places the Vivo X500 Pro Max below the X500 Ultra and above the Vivo X500 Pro.

That positioning would give Vivo three distinct premium options, with the Pro Max potentially serving customers who want flagship performance without moving all the way to the Ultra model.

At least two X500-series phones are also expected to debut next month according to the supplied leak information, although Vivo has yet to confirm the complete launch schedule.

Vivo X500 Pro Max vs Vivo X500 Pro

The biggest question now is how much the Pro Max will differ from the regular Vivo X500 Pro.

The benchmark already suggests that Vivo may be giving the Pro Max a more performance-focused position. The rumored Dimensity 9600 Pro and 12GB RAM combination could make it a significant step above the standard Pro model.

More details about the display, cameras, battery, charging system, storage, and final chipset name will be needed before the two models can be properly compared.

The Vivo X500 Pro Max Geekbench listing gives us an intriguing first look at Vivo’s possible next flagship tier. A 4.55GHz MediaTek platform, 12GB RAM, Android 17, and a multi-core score of 7,756 points make this a device worth watching.

The biggest mystery remains the MediaTek MT6995 chipset. If it really becomes the rumored Dimensity 9600 Pro, Vivo could have a serious performance-focused flagship on its hands. Would you consider the X500 Pro Max over the X500 Ultra if these specifications make it to the final device?
