Tecno has officially announced the launch date of its upcoming Pova 8 5G smartphone. The new device will make its debut in Pakistan on June 11 at 12 PM local time after weeks of anticipation and leaks surrounding the handset.
New Design Features Revealed
Alongside the launch announcement, Tecno shared a teaser video showcasing the design of the Pova 8 5G. The smartphone features a distinctive rear camera module that integrates a small dot matrix display, giving the device a futuristic appearance.
The overall design also includes a transparent-style finish on the back panel, a trend that has become increasingly popular in recent smartphone releases.
Huge 8,000mAh Battery Confirmed
One of the biggest highlights of the Tecno Pova 8 5G is its enormous 8,000mAh battery. Details engraved on the rear panel confirm the battery size, making it one of the largest batteries ever offered by Tecno.
The battery capacity matches that of the Pova Curve 2, positioning the new smartphone among the brand’s longest-lasting devices.
MediaTek Dimensity 7100 Chip Expected
Previous benchmark listings suggest that the Pova 8 5G will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor. The chipset is expected to deliver solid performance for everyday tasks, gaming, and 5G connectivity.
The smartphone is also rumored to arrive with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, while storage options may include 128GB and 256GB variants.
Android 16 and Fast Charging Support
According to earlier certification and benchmark information, the Tecno Pova 8 5G will run Android 16 out of the box. The device is also expected to support 45W wired fast charging, helping users recharge the large battery more efficiently.
With its combination of a high-capacity battery, modern design, and 5G-ready hardware, the Pova 8 5G is shaping up to be one of Tecno’s most notable smartphone launches of the year.
