Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim to Debut Next Year, Testing the Waters for S26 Design

In 2014, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Alpha, a project focused entirely on achieving an ultra-slim design. At just 6.7mm thick, the Galaxy Alpha set a new standard for slim smartphones and later inspired the design of the Galaxy S6 in 2015. Samsung could follow a similar approach next year.

Industry insiders are speculating about a potential Galaxy S25 Slim model arriving next year, after the standard Galaxy S25 lineup launches. This model would aim to fit the hardware of one of the Galaxy S25 models into a slimmer body.

If released, the Galaxy S25 Slim would likely debut a few months after the main Galaxy S25 series. Although this is speculative, recent leaks—such as the Galaxy Z Fold SE’s slim-focused design this year—suggest it may be a realistic possibility.

The Galaxy Z Fold SE gained significant attention due to its slim profile and was a hit at launch. There’s a chance that a future Galaxy S25 Slim model could create similar excitement. However, there’s some concern that it might cut into the sales of Samsung’s standard Galaxy models.

A recent report from The Elec has stirred discussion in the Samsung community, indicating that the Galaxy S25 Slim may be intended as a replacement for the Galaxy S25 FE. If this is the case, it could have a major impact on Samsung’s product lineup.
