Samsung Expands One UI 8.5 to Galaxy A Series
Samsung has officially started rolling out the stable One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy A36. The update is based on Android 16 QPR2 and officially ends the beta testing program for the device. After releasing the update for several Galaxy S models, Samsung has now expanded the latest software to its popular A-series lineup.
Stable Update Arrives Earlier Than Expected
The beta testing phase for the Galaxy A36 lasted only around one and a half months. Because of the short testing period, many users expected the stable version to arrive later. However, Samsung moved quickly and released the final software build sooner than expected.
Currently, the update is only available in South Korea. Users in Pakistan and other international markets may have to wait a few more weeks before receiving the new firmware.
Firmware Version Revealed
The new update carries firmware version A366NKSU6CZDA. A local South Korean source first spotted the build online. Samsung has not confirmed details for the global version yet, but the international firmware is expected to include similar features and improvements.
One UI 8.5 Brings More Customization
Although Samsung has not shared the full changelog, several new features from the beta phase are expected in the stable update. One of the biggest additions is the redesigned quick panel, which now offers improved customization options for users.
Samsung has also focused on improving one-handed usage across the interface. The search bar in many stock apps has been moved to the bottom of the screen, making it easier to reach while using the phone with one hand.
New Lock Screen Features and Animations
The update also introduces the new NowBrief widget on the lock screen. Users can use this feature to quickly control the flashlight with a double tap.
In addition, Samsung has refreshed the overall visual experience. The stable update is expected to include new app animations, smoother transitions, and three new lock screen clock styles that were previously seen during beta testing.
Global Rollout Expected Soon
Samsung is expected to expand the One UI 8.5 rollout to more countries in the coming weeks. Galaxy A36 users can manually check for the update by opening Settings, selecting Software Update, and tapping the “Download and Install” button when the firmware becomes available.
