
Huawei has officially confirmed that the nova 16 series will debut in China on June 1. The upcoming lineup will include four smartphones: the nova 16, nova 16 Pro, nova 16 Ultra, and nova 16z.
Alongside the smartphones, Huawei will also introduce the MatePad Pro Max tablet, which recently made its global debut.
Huawei Starts Reservations in China
Huawei has already opened reservations for the nova 16 series in China before the official launch event. The company is also expected to reveal more details about the devices in the coming days.
nova 16 Pro and Ultra Feature Triple Cameras
The nova 16 Pro and nova 16 Ultra will come with a triple rear camera setup. The sensors and LED flash are placed inside two large circular rings positioned on a rectangular camera island.
Huawei has teased the nova 16 Pro in Sky Blue and Iridescent color options, giving the phones a premium look.
Standard nova 16 Gets Dual Rear Cameras
The standard nova 16 will feature a dual rear camera system. However, the device will still follow a design style similar to the Pro and Ultra models.
Meanwhile, the nova 16z will include a pill-shaped rear camera module with dual cameras and dual LED flashes.
Front Camera Design Revealed
The nova 16 Pro and nova 16 Ultra are expected to feature dual front cameras housed inside a pill-shaped cutout.
On the other hand, the standard nova 16 and nova 16z will likely use a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera.
Leaked nova 16 Ultra Specifications
According to recent leaks, the nova 16 Ultra may feature a 6.84-inch LTPO display and a Kirin 9-series chipset.
The smartphone is also rumored to pack a massive 7,000mAh battery and a 50MP primary rear camera with a large 1/1.3-inch sensor.
