Honor has globally launched a new phone, the Honor X9c, and it’s touted as their toughest model yet. The engineers at Honor have prioritized durability, and the X9c showcases just how much they’ve achieved.

Drop protection is a key feature of the Honor X9c. Reports indicate it can survive a drop from a height of 2 meters, topping SGS’s reliability tests. Along with drop protection, it also sports a scratch-resistant shell.
In lab tests, the X9c’s chassis was rubbed with steel wool over 3,000 times and emerged without scratches. It’s also designed to operate smoothly in extreme temperatures, ranging from -30°C to 50°C.
The Honor X9c holds an IP65M rating, protecting it from water jets at 360-degree angles, which some consider even more advantageous than an IP69 rating. It’s packed with a 6,600mAh battery and supports 66W fast charging.
The device features a 108MP primary lens with EIS and OIS stabilization, capable of recording 4K video. Its 3X in-sensor zoom ensures lossless close-up shots, while the 16MP front camera, located in a pill-shaped cutout, can record 1080p videos.
The Honor X9c’s front display is a 6.78-inch OLED with 1.5K resolution and 10-bit colors. The curved screen reaches 4000 nits, enhancing visibility in bright conditions, and features 3,840 Hz PWM dimming to reduce eye strain. The starting price for the 12/256GB variant is around $345 (approximately PKR 98,000).
