Vivo V50 Lands in Pakistan: Pre-Orders Open, No Red Color, Small Tweaks Over V40

The wait is finally over! Vivo has officially launched the Vivo V50 in Pakistan, delivering notable upgrades over its predecessor, the Vivo V40. The new device features a larger battery with faster charging speeds and comes with the latest Android 15 OS. However, apart from a few key changes, it largely retains the design and features of the previous model. Vivo has introduced new color options, but the Rose Red variant will not be available in Pakistan for now.

Display and Design

The Vivo V50 retains a similar 6.77-inch screen size but uses a different AMOLED display. Unlike the V40, it features a flat panel with micro-curved edges on all four sides. However, one downgrade is the resolution, which has been reduced from 1.5K to 1080p, disappointing some fans.

Despite this, the display still offers a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, 4500 nits brightness, and HDR10+ certification. To enhance durability, Vivo has used Diamond Shield Glass instead of the V40’s Schott Xensation Alpha.

The phone is slightly thicker (7.67mm vs. 7.58mm) and heavier (199g vs. 190g) than its predecessor. The Satin Black variant is the slimmest at 7.39mm, while Misty Purple and Starry Blue are also available.

Camera System

Vivo has collaborated with ZEISS for the V50’s cameras, including the front-facing selfie shooter. The device carries the same 50MP triple-camera setup as the V40, with a 50MP main sensor (OIS), a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP front camera. All cameras support 4K video recording, with the main sensor offering an improved 23mm wide field of view.

Battery and Charging

A major upgrade is the new BlueVolt 6000mAh battery, which uses advanced Si/C material for better energy efficiency without increasing size or weight. The phone supports 90W fast charging, an improvement over the V40’s 80W speed with a smaller 5500mAh battery.

Performance and Features

Running on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset with 12GB RAM, the Vivo V50 delivers powerful AI-driven performance. It features UFS 3.1 storage for faster data transfer and ships with FOS 15 based on Android 15. The device also maintains its IP68/IP69 rating, allowing for underwater photography.

Price and Availability

The Vivo V50 is priced at Rs. 139,999 for the 256GB variant and Rs. 149,999 for the 512GB version. Pre-bookings start on March 8, with shipments beginning on March 15. Customers who pre-order online will receive free Ronin Earbuds worth Rs. 5,000, while those who book offline will get a Bluetooth Speaker. The official sales period runs from March 15 to March 23.
