The Infinix Note 50 Pro has just passed another certification, bringing it closer to an official launch. Rumors have been circulating about a new Infinix Note series set to debut in early 2025, replacing the older Note 40 lineup. Now, an SDPPI certification confirms that at least one of these devices—the Infinix Note 50 Pro—is on the way.

While the certification doesn’t reveal much, it does confirm the phone’s model code X6855. This suggests that a global launch is just weeks away. Adding to the evidence, the same model number was previously spotted in GSMA’s IMEI database, which was covered in a news report back in October 2024.
Further details emerged from a recent FCC certification, shedding light on the device’s internal specs. The Note 50 Pro will feature NFC, staying true to its predecessor. Additionally, RAM is getting an upgrade from 8GB to 12GB, paired with 256GB of storage.
FCC listings also confirm LTE connectivity, Dual-Band WiFi, and Bluetooth. However, the 9mm thickness stands out—unusually bulky for a non-rugged phone. It remains to be seen how Infinix justifies this design choice, especially given its reputation for competitively priced devices.
One possible explanation could be a larger battery or wireless charging, though this is just speculation. What is confirmed, however, is that the Note 50 Pro supports 45W wired charging. Some features from the Note 40 series are expected to carry over as well.
The Note 40 Pro series made headlines with its All-round Fast Charge Tech 2.0, offering 70W wired and 20W wireless charging with a magnetic kit. Hopefully, Infinix retains this feature in the new lineup.
Another highlight of the Note 40 Pro was its 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. The near bezel-free screen also housed an in-display fingerprint scanner and a 32MP punch-hole selfie camera. Since the Note 40 series launched in March 2024, the Note 50 lineup is expected to follow a similar timeline in 2025.
Stay tuned for more updates on the Infinix Note 50 Pro as its launch approaches!
