Vivo launched the budget-friendly Y19s in Pakistan about a month ago, but it faced criticism instead of praise. Over time, user feedback has highlighted several key issues with the device, which we cover here.

The Y19s offers dual RAM configurations: a base 4GB + 128GB version and a 6GB + 128GB variant. However, both are considered overpriced. At Rs 38,999, the base model feels underwhelming, especially with its 5MP selfie camera, which users find insufficient for the cost. Many believe the phone’s performance does not justify its price.
While the device boasts a large 5500mAh battery, it only supports slow 15W charging. According to user reviews, the phone takes hours to fully charge, which is disappointing compared to competitors like Tecno and Infinix, which offer 33W or higher fast charging in the same price range.
The 6.68-inch screen with a 90Hz refresh rate is a plus, but the HD+ 720p resolution has been a major drawback. Many buyers expect a 1080p FHD+ display in this price segment. However, Vivo may have chosen a lower resolution to avoid performance issues, as higher resolutions could strain the Unisoc T612 chipset, leading to laggy performance and choppy animations.
The Y19s is powered by the Unisoc T612, considered a weaker SoC. Competing phones in this price bracket, such as Infinix’s Hot 40, feature more capable processors like the Helio G85 or G88, along with better RAM and storage options.
Given these shortcomings, users feel that the Y19s is overpriced at Rs 38,999, and even more so for the 6GB variant at Rs 42,999. Many suggest that a price closer to Rs 20,000 would better match its specifications.
Despite its flaws, the Y19s could still be a solid choice if you prioritize durability. It features a military-grade SGS Five Star drop-resistant body and an IP64 rating, making it both dustproof and waterproof. Vivo designed the Y19s for those seeking a sturdy and semi-rugged device at an affordable price. However, Vivo also offers other models that combine better performance and value.
