Samsung appears to be diversifying its lineup by working on a more affordable version of the Galaxy Z Flip 6. Similar to the premium Z Fold 6 Special Edition, the Flip 6 is expanding with a second variant called the Galaxy Z Flip FE.

According to insider ‘Jukanlosreve’ on Twitter/X, the Z Flip FE will feature the Exynos 2400e chipset, the same processor powering the Galaxy S24 FE. Staying true to the Fan Edition philosophy, this move aims to reduce production costs while delivering flagship-level performance.
The Exynos 2400e boasts a Cortex X4 core clocked at 3.1 GHz, offering robust processing capabilities. Its Xclipse 940 GPU ensures smooth performance in demanding tasks, including high-end gaming, maintaining comparable FPS to the Exynos 2400 found in the Galaxy S24.
This cost-effective SoC is expected to significantly lower the price of the Z Flip FE. However, Samsung might make additional adjustments to achieve a more budget-friendly offering. Despite this, rumors suggest some advantages for this model, especially in its front and back displays.
The Z Flip FE may feature the same display technology as the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7. Considering Samsung’s track record of improving display innovation with each generation, the FE model could even surpass the original Flip 6 in screen quality.
If reports are accurate, the Z Flip FE will be Samsung’s first budget-friendly clamshell foldable, making advanced foldable tech more accessible to a wider audience.
