Realme made a strong debut at the MWC 2025 event in Barcelona, launching two new devices—Realme 14 Pro and 14 Pro+. These smartphones are now available for pre-order in Europe. The company has set an ambitious goal to become a leading global smartphone brand within the next three years, and the 14 Pro lineup is a solid step in that direction. Additionally, Realme showcased an innovative prototype at the event, which we’ll discuss shortly.

Realme 14 Pro+ – The Flagship Model
After launching in China and other global markets, the Realme 14 Pro+ is now heading to Europe. This premium device boasts a large 6.83-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut support. It also delivers an impressive peak brightness of 1500 nits.
One of its standout features is the massive 6000mAh silicon-carbon (Si/C) battery, which supports 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. The Pro+ also features a 50 MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, making it an ideal choice for portrait photography. The camera setup includes a 50 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, and a 32 MP selfie camera.
Under the hood, the phone runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, clocked at 2.5GHz, paired with up to 12GB of RAM. Realme UI 6, based on Android 15, brings advanced AI features to enhance user experience. The Realme 14 Pro+ starts at €580 (~PKR 170,000) for the 12GB/512GB variant.
Realme 14 Pro – A Mid-Range Powerhouse
The Realme 14 Pro is slightly toned down but still packs a punch. It features a 6.77-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a surprising peak brightness of 4500 nits, which is even higher than the Pro+ model. However, the resolution is limited to 1080p.
This model is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 chipset, making it a strong contender in the mid-range category. Like its Pro+ sibling, it carries a 6000mAh battery, but with 45W fast charging instead of 80W.
The camera setup is a step down, as it lacks a telephoto lens. However, it still includes a 50 MP Sony IMX882 main sensor with OIS, a 2 MP monochrome sensor, and a 16 MP front camera. The Realme 14 Pro starts at €430 (~PKR 126,000) in Europe.
Both models come with IP69 certification and Military Standard 810H durability. They also feature Realme’s color-changing back panel, which reacts when the temperature drops below 16°C.
Realme’s Revolutionary Prototype
MWC 2025 also saw Realme unveil its most ambitious project—a prototype smartphone with an interchangeable DSLR-style lens system. This device features a custom mounting mechanism and a 1-inch Sony sensor. When paired with a 234mm lens, it transforms into a full-fledged DSLR camera.
While this concept is exciting, its commercial production remains uncertain. If Realme decides to bring it to the market, we’ll keep you updated. Stay tuned for more news on the latest smartphone innovations
