The buzz around the upcoming Poco F8 Ultra and F8 Pro is palpable, and fresh leaks are giving us a glimpse into their battery specs. However, it seems these new models might not quite match the battery performance of their Redmi K90 siblings.

Battery Capacity Unveiled
Insider sources reveal that the Poco F8 Pro will come equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, while the more upscale Poco F8 Ultra is expected to pack a 5,200mAh battery. These numbers are a tad lower than what we see in the Redmi K90 series, which reportedly boasts 5,400mAh and 5,500mAh batteries in its various models.

Charging Speed Showdown
Even with slightly smaller batteries, Poco seems to be prioritizing charging efficiency. The F8 Pro is rumored to support 90W fast charging, while the F8 Ultra might take it up a notch with 120W charging capabilities. In comparison, the Redmi K90 Ultra is said to feature a quicker 150W HyperCharge system, giving it a bit of an advantage.
Shared Heritage with Redmi K90 Series
Both Poco F8 models are believed to be rebranded versions of the Redmi K90 series, sharing essential hardware and design elements. The main differences are likely to lie in battery tuning, branding, and software tweaks under MIUI for POCO.
Display and Design Insights
Leaks suggest that both phones will flaunt 6.73-inch AMOLED displays with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The design continues to reflect Poco’s bold aesthetic, although the F8 Ultra might sport a curved display, reminiscent of the Redmi K90 Ultra.
Performance Anticipations
Under the hood, the Poco F8 Ultra is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, while the F8 Pro may utilize the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. These processors promise flagship-level performance, positioning the devices among the top contenders for 2025.
Software and Features
Both models are anticipated to launch with HyperOS based on Android 15, bringing new customization options, improved battery optimization, and enhanced AI features. Plus, they’ll retain Poco’s beloved Game Turbo features for a smoother gaming experience.
