Oppo has expanded its budget-friendly F series by introducing two new smartphones: the Oppo F29 and F29 Pro. These mid-range devices offer impressive durability, large batteries, and advanced AI features, aiming to outshine last year’s F27 series. Here’s a closer look at their specifications.

The Oppo F29 Pro isn’t a completely new creation; it’s essentially a rebranded Oppo A5 Pro, previously exclusive to China. However, it still impresses with its sleek design. The front features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with ultra-thin, uniform bezels. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and has an IP69 rating, ensuring excellent durability.
The display has a 1080p FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1200 nits. For selfies, the Oppo F29 Pro uses a 16 MP camera, while the rear setup includes a 50 MP main lens and a 2 MP monochrome sensor. Although the cameras are average, they are supported by AI features like Clarity Enhancer, Eraser, Reflection Remover, and AI Unblur for motion shots.
Both models operate on Android 15 with the Color OS 15 skin, equipped with a similar set of AI enhancements. The F29 Pro is powered by a Dimensity 7300 chip, available with either 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM. It also offers up to 256 GB of internal storage, providing ample space for users.
The battery has seen a significant upgrade from previous models. The Pro variant houses a 6000mAh battery, compatible with an 80W SuperVOOC charger. The Oppo F29 Pro is priced at approximately $325 (~PKR 91,000) for the 8/128GB configuration.
Meanwhile, the Oppo F29 offers slightly lower performance but maintains the same IP69 rating and a 6.7-inch flat AMOLED display. It features FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. The front camera has an 8 MP sensor, sufficient for basic selfies.
Remarkably, the F29 is only 7.7mm thick and weighs 185 grams, even with its substantial 6500mAh battery. Its durability is enhanced by an aluminum alloy motherboard, reinforced diamond-cut corners, and Gorilla Glass 7i, making it highly resistant to damage.
The F29 supports 45W SuperVOOC fast charging and shares the same AI-enhanced camera suite as its Pro counterpart. The rear camera setup includes a 50 MP primary lens and a 2 MP monochrome sensor. Powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, it may not be as fast as the Pro version, but it offers good value for its price. The Oppo F29 starts at around $280 (~PKR 78,000) for the 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage variant.
