The Oppo A5 Pro 4G is the third version of a model first introduced in December. Initially launched in China with a Dimensity 7300 chip and 5G support, the phone later appeared in global markets with a Dimensity 6300, a slightly less powerful processor. Now, Oppo has unveiled a 4G variant powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 1, making it the least powerful of the three versions.

Durability and Design
The A5 Pro 4G debuted in Malaysia as an affordable mid-range smartphone. Despite its lower price, it retains the rugged durability of the original 5G version. It features an IP69 rating, ensuring protection against water submersion. Oppo has also subjected the device to 14 military-grade durability tests, making it resistant to accidental drops.
Display and Performance
The phone comes with a 6.67-inch LCD display that delivers 1000 nits of brightness. It supports a 90Hz refresh rate and 720p HD+ resolution, which suits the Snapdragon 6s Gen 1 chipset. This 11nm processor is an updated version of the Snapdragon 662, featuring eight cores running at 2.1GHz. The device also includes LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 storage for better efficiency.
Storage, Battery, and Charging
The Oppo A5 Pro 4G is equipped with 8GB RAM and 256GB UFS storage, ensuring smooth multitasking and quick app launches. It houses a large 5800mAh battery, which supports 45W fast charging for quick power refills.
Camera and Software
For photography, the phone features a 50MP dual-camera setup on the back, accompanied by a 2MP monochrome sensor for depth effects. The 8MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. Out of the box, the device runs Android 15 with ColorOS 15, ensuring access to the latest software features. Additionally, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner provides secure unlocking.
Pricing and Availability
The Oppo A5 Pro 4G is priced at RM 899 in Malaysia (approximately $200 or PKR 56,000). It is available in Mocha Brown and Olive Green color options. A global launch is expected soon, so stay tuned for further updates.
