Vivo, part of the BBK group, is preparing to launch a new smartphone, the Vivo Y300i. The company officially confirmed the device yesterday and teased its upcoming launch in China next week. While official details remain limited, we’ve gathered key specifications and features from various sources.

Following the announcement of its official launch date on March 14th, the Vivo Y300i quickly appeared on China Telecom’s certification listing, revealing nearly all of its specifications. Since this information comes from a trusted certification authority, it is likely accurate.
Reports suggest that the Vivo Y300i will feature the same Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset as its predecessor, the Vivo Y200i. This entry-level processor supports 5G connectivity. However, the display size has slightly decreased, with the Y300i featuring a 6.68-inch screen. A notable downgrade is its resolution—Vivo has opted for an HD+ 720p panel instead of a higher-resolution display.
Although the Telecom listing did not confirm the screen’s refresh rate, it is expected to support 120Hz, similar to its predecessor. In terms of memory and storage, the Vivo Y300i will come with at least 8GB of RAM, with higher variants offering up to 12GB RAM and storage options of 256GB or 512GB.
This premium entry-level phone will run Android 15 out of the box, though it will feature Vivo’s Origin OS for the Chinese market. The certification listing also revealed impressive battery specifications. The Y300i houses a 6,500mAh battery, which is a 500mAh upgrade over the Y200i. While the charging speed remains unchanged, it still supports 44W fast charging, ensuring quick power-ups.
For photography, the Vivo Y300i sports a 50MP dual-camera setup on the back, though details about the secondary lens are still unknown. On the front, users may be disappointed by the modest 5MP selfie camera. Other notable features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, NFC support, and an IR Blaster.
The Vivo Y300i is expected to launch at a starting price of approximately $205 (~PKR 57,000).
