The Galaxy A16 has already made its debut, and now the spotlight shifts to the upcoming Galaxy A26. Samsung typically unveils this lineup in December, and so far, there’s no indication of a timeline shift for the A26. However, ahead of its official announcement, a design leak has surfaced.

These initial renders of the Galaxy A26 highlight several design changes and upgrades compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy A25. Notably, the dimensions have increased, with the A26 measuring 164mm in height, 77.5mm in width, and 7.7mm in thickness. The camera module adds to the thickness, bringing it up to 9.7mm.
The leak also suggests that the device has grown taller and wider while becoming slimmer overall. This size increase has allowed for a larger screen, moving from the A25’s 6.5-inch display to a 6.64-inch panel on the A26, according to the leaked details.
Under the hood, the Galaxy A26 is expected to feature the Exynos 1280 chipset, like the A25, but with a higher clock speed for improved performance. A Geekbench listing reveals that the device will come with a 6GB RAM option, possibly alongside other configurations.
In terms of design, the camera setup has changed as well. Unlike the isolated camera cells of the A25, the A26 houses all its cameras in a unified module. This design approach is expected to carry over to other models in the lineup, such as the A36 and A56.
Unfortunately, the display quality remains unchanged from the A25. The A26 retains the same notch cutout at the top, which some may find outdated.
